how i look like picking outfits out for mardi gras knowing that my MUM is taking me and i’m not out so i won’t be able to fall in love with the girl of my dreams at the parade:
i went to mardi gras a few years back and it was really good (though also really draining bc i do NOT do well with noise and light and crowds hahaha). it's really cool that your mum is taking you, even though you're not out. hope you have a good time!
crowds are definitely not my thing either which is why I never went before! I know it’ll take me a couple of days to regain my energy back afterwards, but I think it’s really worth it especially since I’m leaving aus in December and I know there won’t be anything close to it where I’m going to be in Europe.
thank you so much though!! I’m definitely going to have fun either way, out or not. My mum is very open minded.
the constant struggle between feeling like you have to perform femininity for the male gaze vs feeling literally sick to your stomach at the thought that men can see you as anything vaguely attractive/sexual
i didn’t expect this to get so many notes. I’m sorry all of you relate, but at the same time I’m happy to see that I am not alone in this ;-;
