A memory that flickers just before it falls apart—of meeting for a moment, on that highway, after dark.

Question:

Is there a storyline to your art? Or is each piece its own story? I love it and it always has the vibe that there’s a whole cohesive universe built around it.

Answer:

Kind of, yes! Some of the drawings are connected to each other in a sort of loose storyline, others are stand-alone, but nearly all of them are taking place in the same world.

Question:

Your drawing of saint Guinefort made me curious so I read up on the story- thanks, I love it, now I really want to get the art as a print so I can create a makeshift shrine to Guinefort around it.

Answer:

I think a homemade shrine would be very much in the spirit of St Guinefort …bonus points if the pope tries to stop you!

Snared between the teeth of love, and therein torn apart.

Inspired by the strange story of Guinefort—the greyhound who became a saint.

Question:

i've only ever seen your text posts and literally thought you were just a popular shitposter?? and now i actually visit your blog and your art is some of the sickest art i've seen? what is going on? who tf are you??

Answer:

it’s kind of a Jekyll and Hyde situation….art vs shitpost is a struggle that rages always in me, and ah….how quickly the line between the two can blur

anytime someone from the UK orders a print from me I’m delighted because the addresses tend to be charming and sound completely made-up, I just suspend my disbelief and accept that I’m sending a package someplace with a name like Bristleberry House at Ditchmallow in Brambleford-on-Cotton—incredible lmaooo I bet this gets delivered to you by a badger in a little coat

Question:

I just have to say, I found your art for the first time today, and it is absolutely gorgeous. Like, it just gives me such a feeling of nostalgia and kinship, it’s really weird, but I absolutely love it.

Answer:

Thank you, I’m happy to hear that! To have it called nostalgic is nice. Art can sometimes feel like having shared feelings or memories with some other person you’ve never met–like remembering something you thought only you had seen, and then finding out someone else was there too.
